Every month San Diego Councilwoman Sherri Lightner publishes The SpotLight, a newsletter for District 1 residents. This month's highlights included Standard & Poor’s raising the city’s credit rating by two notches from A+ to AA-; City Council unanimously approving an investment of $75 million to improve San Diego’s infrastructure including roads, storm drains and fire stations; and an update on the "Save the La Jolla Post Office" efforts.
In addition, the monthly newsletter included neighborhood repairs.
Neighborhood repairs fixed in La Jolla in the past month:
- Pothole repaired at Right-hand turn lane on Torrey Pines Road to La Jolla Village Drive La Jolla Colony Drive
- Weeds sprayed and litter removed along sidewalk of northbound Torrey Pines Road from Glenbrook Way to La Jolla Village Drive
- Damaged asphalt repaired in bike lane on southbound Genesee Avenue, just south of La Jolla Village Drive
