Poll Workers Needed in La Jolla
The San Diego County Registrar needs poll workers for the June 5 Presidential Primary Election.
Editor's Note: The San Diego County Registrar of Voters released the following announcement on May 2, 2012.
Poll workers are still in demand for the June 5 Presidential Primary Election; especially those who are bilingual in Chinese, Filipino, Spanish and Vietnamese. The need is especially great in the neighborhoods listed below:

Del Dios, Del Mar, Escondido, San Marcos, Mira Mesa, Encanto, Chula Vista, Otay, Paradise Hills, San Ysidro
Spanish
Escondido, Clairemont, Mira Mesa, Linda Vista, Paradise Hills, Poway, Spring Valley
Vietnamese

Poll workers receive a stipend ranging from $75 to $175 depending on the assignment and those who are bilingual receive an additional $15 if they are assigned to provide language assistance to voters.
Poll workers must be U.S. citizens, registered voters in the state of California and have transportation to their assigned polling location. Depending on the job assignment, they may also need access to the Internet to complete an online training and attend a two-hour class.
