Michael Dukakis Coming to La Jolla

Former Governor of Massachusetts and Nominee of the Democratic Party for President Michael Dukakis will give a State of the Nation Address on Jan. 21 at La Jolla County Day School.

The City Club of San Diego and will host Governor Michael Dukakis for the Michael S. Dukakis Annual State of the Nation Address at  10 a.m. on Jan. 21.

The event, including bagels and coffee, is free for LJCDS students, $10 for City Club members and parents of LJCDS students, and $20 for all others.

Dukakis is a Harvard Law School graduate and U.S. Army veteran. He served four terms with Massachusetts House of Representatives and as governor of the state for two terms started in 1974 and 1982. Four years later he ran for president as the Democratic nominee against George H. W. Bush.

The former politician turned academic is now a professor at Northeastern University in Boston.
