La Jolla Village Merchants Association Looking for Nominations for Board of Directors

Nominations are being solicited for filling five seats on the La Jolla Village Merchants Association's Board; for three year terms. Each seat will be elected by those paying the La Jolla BID assessment.

If you are interested in improving your business community by serving on the La Jolla Village Merchants Association Board of Directors, please complete the two-paged Self Nomination form. Nominations are being solicited for five seats on the Board. Each seat is a three year term.

La Jolla business owners or representatives are eligible to run for the LJVMA Board of Directors, provided the business has paid the annual assessment to the La Jolla BID.

La Jolla Village Merchants Association Nomination Timeline:

  • Aug. 31: Date of Record to Nominate, La Jolla BID Assessment must be paid by this date.
  • Sept. 14: Nomination Form must be received by 10 a.m. via U.S. Postal Service hand delivery to LJVMA office at 7734 Herschel Ave., #G, La Jolla, CA 92037 OR delivered to the at the.The board meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. The deadline will be strictly enforced. Nomination forms will not be accepted after the 10 a.m. deadline.
  • Sept. 23: LJVMA to mail ballots. New business registrants who pay their assessments after the ballots are mailed may pick up ballots at the LJVMA office. Proof of registration will be needed to receive ballot.
  • Sept. 30: Date of Record to Vote, La Jolla BID Assessment must be paid by this date.
  • Oct. 7: Ballots must be received by 5 p.m. via U.S. Postal Service hand delivery to LJVMA office at 7734 Herschel Ave., #G, La Jolla, CA 92037. Faxed or emailed ballots will not be accepted. The deadline will be strictly enforced. Ballots forms will not be accepted after the 5 p.m. deadline.
  • Oct. 12: Ballots will be publicly opened and counted at the LJVMA Annual Meeting/Board Meeting.
