Former San Diego Mayor Dick Murphy held his first book signing to discuss and sign copies of San Diego's Judge Mayor: How Murphy's Law Blindsided Leadership with 2020 Vision at on Thursday evening.
Murphy's memoir covers his years in the military, work at the Pentagon and the White House, time as a Superior Court judge, and terms as a city councilman and San Diego mayor. His book also features 10 proposals or projects that will make San Diego a "city worthy of our affection” by 2020.
The book signing was attended by many interested readers including former City Councilwoman Donna Frye.

Murphy will hold another book signing at Barnes & Noble at 10775 Westview Parkway, CA 92126 on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
