Former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis spoke on the second Obama administration at his annual City Club of San Diego's State of the Nation Address on Feb. 2.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis focused on President Barack Obama's second administration at his annual City Club of San Diego's State of the Nation Address on Feb. 2 in La Jolla.

Dukakis, Harvard Law School graduate and U.S. Army veteran, spoke at La Jolla Country Day School.

Dukakis served four terms with Massachusetts House of Representatives and as governor of the state for two terms started in 1974 and 1982. Four years later he ran for president as the Democratic nominee against George H. W. Bush.

The former politician turned academic is now a professor at Northeastern University in Boston.
