Caution: New Electronic Speed Warning Signs Installed

Two electronic speed warning signs were installed on Torrey Pines Road at Amalfi Street heading east and at Viking Way heading west.

Consider this your warning to slow down.

The city will turn on two electronic speed warning signs on Torrey Pines Road in an effort to calm traffic along this busy corridor next week. These signs at Amalfi Street traveling east and at Viking Way traveling west will show a digital display of your speed, if over the posted speed limit of 35-mph. (See map to the right for the exact locations.)

Councilwoman Sherri Lightner's office said the two signs were paid for out of District 1's budget. The cost is estimated at $10,000 each sign.
