Block Wins State Senate Bid

Assemblyman Marty Block garnered 57 percent of the vote on Tuesday.

Marty Block won his bid for the 39th State Senate seat on Tuesday.

Assemblyman Block, a Democrat, bested Republican George Plescia with 57 percent of the vote.

Block has served in the Assembly since 2008. He previously served on the San Diego County Board of Education and the San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees.
