185 Potholes Fixed in 3 Days

The city's Street Division pushed to fix potholes in San Diego last week after heavy fall rains.

The streets in La Jolla just got a bit smoother. Last week, the city's Street Division patched 185 potholes in La Jolla in three days. The Street Division patched an additional 670 potholes in District 1, which includes University City and Carmel Valley.

At a press conference on Nov. 30, Councilwoman Sherri Lightner said, “I felt it was necessary to fill what we have now before the real rainy season starts. City staff agreed to do a hard target search and fill pothole roundup in District 1.”

To report potholes in your neighborhood, call Lightner’s office at 619-236-6611 or email sherrilightner@sandiego.gov or directly contact the street division at 619-527-7500 or visit sandiego.gov/street-div/holes.shtml.
