Sheriff Nabs 14 in Warrant Sweep

The sweep was conducted in La Jolla and several other coastal areas in San Diego.

The San Diego Sheriff's Department nabbed 14 people Friday in a warrant sweep, authorities said. The sweep was conducted in La Jolla, Downtown San Diego, Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.

The focus of the sweep was on suspects with outstanding warrants, according to the sheriff's press release.

Of the 14 people arrested, 11 were for misdemeanor warrants and three were for felony warrants, according to the release. The charges include driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, domestic violence and petty theft, the release said.
