SDPD Investigating Four Nearby Arson Fires

Four suspected arson fires that occurred minutes apart in Pacific Beach were under investigation today, authorities said.

The first fire occurred on a small speed boat parked in front of a residence in the 1400 block of Thomas Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

Between 11:44 and 11:55 p.m., three more small fires involving other vehicles were reported in the vicinity of Reed Avenue and Greshman Street, which is just south of Thomas Avenue, a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher said.
