A disgruntled customer left without paying for his pizza and reportedly attempted to take cash out of the register after an argument with an employee at Papa Johns in La Jolla, according to San Diego Police.

Police responded to a reported theft at Monday night.

According to San Diego Police, a black male in his 20s reportedly argued with an employee, attempted to grab cash out of the register and made off on a bicycle with a pizza at approximately 8:51 p.m.

The pizza theft was at large as of Monday night. Police said the suspect was wearing a gray shirt and white shorts.

A manager with Papa John's Pizza would not discuss the incident. However, a check of the website shows that pizzas range in price from $8 to $15.
