Preliminary Hearing Set for Former Jack's Bookkeeper Accused of Embezzlement

Tara Moore, a former bookkeeper at Jack's, allegedly embezzled $3 million from the restaurant and nightclub.

A preliminary hearing date was set for Tara Moore, a former bookkeeper at Jack's La Jolla. The hearing will be Dec. 6, according to Superior Court.

Moore allegedly embezzled $3 from Jack's, which closed in 2009. She was arrested last month of charges of grand theft.

Jack’s parent company, Wellington Inc., owes $1,094,522 in back taxes, according to the California State Board of Equalization. The Board of Equalization last updated its list of the 250 largest delinquent accounts of Oct. 17.
