Woods did not show up to work Saturday at either of her two jobs—at a Supercuts in La Jolla or at Blessed Hands hair salon in Rolando, which Carr said was out of character.

Carr said that Woods later turned up and said she had been detained by Border Patrol agents, and her car—an electric blue 2010 Dodge Challenger RT —had been impounded.
