Man Shot in Torrey Pines State Reserve

The extent of the man's injury is not immediately clear.

A man has been wounded in a shooting involving a park ranger off
the 12200 block of Torrey Pines Park Road in Torrey Pines State Reserve on Thursday, a San Diego police spokesman says.

The U-T San Diego reported that the man had a machete and knife.

10news.com reported that the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department crews carried the injured man from the trail to an ambulance, and was taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital.

The San Diego Police Department declined to provide additional information Thursday afternoon. The department's homicide unit is expected to release a report soon.
