Machine Gun Found at Children's Pool in La Jolla

A Mac-10 machine gun was discovered in 2-3 feet of water at the popular beach on Tuesday.

San Diego Police are investigating the recovery of a Mac 10 machine gun at the in La Jolla on Tuesday. A visitor to the popular beach reported seeing the weapon in just 2-3 feet of water at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego Police Detective Gary Hassen.

The gun was recovered by San Diego Police and ammunition was reportedly found near the weapon. The gun was not loaded at the time of recovery, according to police.
