Lifeguards Rescue Two People Stuck on Torrey Pines Cliff

The man and woman are uninjured after they get stuck at Torrey Pines.

Two people became stuck on a cliff at Torrey Pines Thursday afternoon and had to be rescued by lifeguards, according to an official with the lifeguard service. They were not injured.

A 23-year-old male and a 21-year-old female ignored signs warning against climbing on the cliffs and got stuck about 20 feet from the top near an area known as Hully Gully near the , according to lifeguards. Around 3:30 p.m. lifeguards were called, and they brought the two to the top around 4:15 p.m.

The names of the two people rescued were not released.
