La Jolla Liquor Robbed at Gunpoint

The amount of the loss was not disclosed and San Diego detectives are investigating.

San Diego police were on the lookout Monday morning for a masked gunman who robbed a liquor store in La Jolla.

Police reported that a man wearing a mask, grey shirt and blue jeans entered La Jolla Liquor at 7402 La Jolla Blvd. near Marine Street at 9:37 p.m. Sunday evening. The robber displayed a handgun and made a demand for cash, according to police.

The robber fleed on foot in a southbound direction, San Diego Police Officer Delimitros said.

A police helicopter could be heard in the neighborhood just a few minutes later.

Police described the gunman as white, in his 20s, around 5 feet 10, with a medium build.
