Felony Hit and Run on Turquoise Street

San Diego Police reported a felony hit and run on the 900 block of Turquoise Street in North Pacific Beach on Tuesday morning.

A bicyclist in his 50s was struck by a car early Tuesday morning in North Pacific Beach. 

According to police, the bicyclist was stopped at the red light on La Jolla Mesa Drive preparing to turn left on Turquoise Street.

Police said an unidentified person driving a BMW was making the same turn and swung into the bicyclist knocking him to the ground.

The bicyclist suffered an injury to his right shoulder and an open fracture to his right elbow, police said. He was transported to a local hospital, according to the police report.

The motorist fled the scene eastbound on Turquoise Street.
