Under sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s, kids of all ages lined Prospect Street and Girard Avenue to celebrate the holiday season with the 56th annual La Jolla Christmas parade, "Christmas in the Surf and Sand."
Entrants included more than a dozen bands, horse units, floats, dancers, service clubs and princesses.
An antique airplane flyover kicked off the parade, and Santa was greeted by cheering youngsters at the parade's end.
