CVS Robber Found Dead In His Apartment

The man had apparently committed suicide using the prescription drugs he stole.

A masked thief robbed a La Jolla pharmacy at gunpoint and later was found dead in his apartment from an apparent suicide using the drugs he stole, police officials said today.

The man reportedly robbed a CVS pharmacy in the 7500 block of Eads Avenue shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Friday with a pistol while wearing a suit and a Halloween-style mask, police said.

The parents of the man became worried when they had not heard from their son and asked a neighbor to check on him, according to police.
