Couple Roll 200 Feet Down Embankment, Critically Injured

Their vehicle left the 805 near Governor Drive.

Two people were critically injured after the vehicle in which they were traveling left the Jacob Dekema (805) Freeway and rolled 200 feet down an embankment Friday night, according to a San Diego Fire Department dispatcher.

The vehicle left the northbound 805 near the Governor Drive North off- ramp at around 8:40 p.m., according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

According to the dispatch, the vehicle rolled 200 feet downhill and stopped in heavy brush.

The SDFD dispatcher, who would not give her name, said the occupants had been transported to a hospital in critical condition.
