Car Crashes into House Near La Jolla Country Club

Medics took an occupant of the vehicle to a hospital for treatment of injuries

One person was injured late Wednesday afternoon when a car careened off a road near the La Jolla Country Club and crashed into a house.

The accident in the 6700 block of Avenida Manana occurred shortly before 5 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Medics took an occupant of the vehicle to a hospital for treatment of injuries of undisclosed severity, SDFRD spokesman Lee Swanson said.

The wreck apparently did not cause structural damage serious enough to displace the residents of the home, Swanson said.
