Car Drives Off I-5 and Hits Bicyclist on Nearby Street
The accident took place near Interstate 5 and State Route 52 on Tuesday evening.
A woman was injured this evening when a car careened off Interstate 5 in Bay Ho and hit her as she rode a bicycle along an adjacent surface street.
The northbound sedan crashed off the freeway just south of State Route
52 for unknown reasons about 5:40 p.m., according to the California Highway
Patrol. It then went through a perimeter fence and struck the bicyclist.
Medics took the unidentified woman to a hospital. The extent of her injuries was not immediately clear.
