Broiled Grapefruit Basics
- Make sure your grapefruit is well-chilled. Consider popping it in the freezer 10-15 minutes before broiling.
- Slice the fruit in half and cut the flesh all the way around the rim of the fruit; then cut the segments (just as if you’re digging into one like you normally would.)
- Mix together 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 Tbsp. melted butter (you will have enough for two grapefruits).
- Sprinkle the sugar mixture on top of each grapefruit half and broil for about three minutes, until the sugar is bubbly.
- Take it out, break it open and enjoy!
