Free Easter Events in San Diego

Holidays are a great opportunity to enjoy some free community events.

With Easter just around the corner, there are plenty of free or low cost events in San Diego. To get the most out of these events, be sure to plan ahead and arrive on time to participate in the activities that are the best for your family. Parking can also be tricky. Know where to go before you leave the house and carpool with a friend if possible.

In this column, we hunt down the top deals of the week to help you save some time and money. If you find a great deal in San Diego, be sure and share it with us in the comments or e-mail it to me to have your deal featured in a future column.

3. Science Field Trip Day at Petco Park

A few weeks ago during the San Diego Science Festival, an amazing Science Expo Day was put on at Petco Park. My kids had so much fun with the hands on science activities so I was thrilled when I saw the ad for Science Field Trip Day at Petco Park. For only $7, you will get admission to the Padres verses Braves game and access to tons of great activities put on by the Fleet Science Center, including, a “Fire and Ice” show, a General Atomics show on physics, and an appearance by a Padres player to talk about the importance of education.

4. Visit with the Easter Bunny at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets  on April 23 from 10 a.m. to noon. An Easter egg hunt will take place at participating stores starting at 10 a.m. while supplies last.

5. Easter Egg Hunt Festival in Encinitas

The City of Encinitas will be celebrating Easter with it’s annual Easter Egg Hunt Festival.
