John "Jack" Bell—a former professional golfer and general manager of the La Jolla Country Club—died April 18 in Hanover County, VA., according to Richmond Times-Dispatch.
He was 83.
He played professional for a number of years and won the Illinois Open. He moved to California in 1968 and worked at the Country Club, according to the newspaper.
A memorial service will be held on April 29 at the Ginter Park Presbyterian Church in Richmond, VA.
