Henry Lewis Slade Jr.—La Jolla Resident—Dies at 77

He opened the San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club .

Henry Lewis "Hank" Slade Jr. died July 8, according to U-T San Diego.

He was 77.

He was born in Daytona Beach, FL. and grew up in Southern California. He moved to La Jolla in 1970 and opened the San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club with friend Doug Allred, according to the newspaper.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at , according to the newspaper.
