He was 85.
He moved to San Diego after working 40 years in the insurance industry, according to the newspaper. He was a Scripps Birch Aquarium docent and enjoyed the Torrey Pines Beach, according to the newspaper.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Therese of Carmel, 4355 Del Mar Trails Rd., San Diego, according to the newspaper.
