Marines Sgt. Arthur Rabago is both lucky and in love. The local MCAS Miramar Marine won an engagement ring and chance to pop the question to his love at an event earlier this week.
Rabago won a content by Robbins Brothers and Marine Corps Community Services. The contest asked Marines at Miramar and Camp Pendleton to share their love story for a chance to win $2,000 at Robbins Brothers for the engagement ring and the opportunity to propose at the Ball Gown Giveaway at MCAS Miramar.
Rabago took the mic in front of hundreds of military wives and girlfriends Monday and got down on one knee to ask girlfriend Shayna Bradley, a UC San Diego student, to marry him.
Patch was not on scene for the dramatic and romantic moment, but NBC San Diego caught the shot.
