Tashlich Service Held at La Jolla Shores

Happy New Year! Beth Israel held a Tashlich ceremony at on Thursday evening, as part of its Rosh Hashana celebration.

In the ceremony, members of the congregation tossed bread into the ocean to symbolically cast away their sins. According to Chabad.org, Tashlich comes from the Hebrew word meaning "to cast."

Beth Israel will hold a second day morning service at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Beth Israel, followed by a light kiddush lunch.
