Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber To Get a Natural High in La Jolla

Local nonprofit Natural High will honor Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines on Oct. 29.

Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber will be honored next month in La Jolla at the 13th Annual Sunset Splash Gala at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines by local drug abuse prevention organization Natural High.

Natural High, created by La Jollan Jon Sundt, helps youth discover, amplify and pursue their natural high. The organization engages with youth in classrooms with a star-studded video curriculum series, its website, blog, social media and at events such as the Vans Warped Tour, assemblies, and contests.

Wieber was selected as this year’s honoree because of "her positive, drug-free example, and her dedication to the pursuit of her natural high."

She stars in the next release of Natural High’s video series, which will be released this fall.

“We have a lot to celebrate, having grown to reach over 7 million youth,” said Sundt, said in an announcement. “This gala marks this celebration, but it also serves as a reminder that we can’t reach our goals alone. Our friends, our advocates, our ambassadors—these are the people who have and will make it possible to encourage thousands more youth to pledge to live naturally high.”
