Alaska Airlines Now Flying San Diego to Fresno, Monterey and Santa Rosa

Daily flights between San Diego and Fresno, Monterey and Santa Rosa start this week on Alaska Airline's Horizon Air.

Alaska Airlines today began operating daily flights between San Diego and the cities of Fresno and Monterey, and tomorrow will introduce a flight from Lindbergh Field to Santa Rosa, according to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.

The first flight from Fresno arrived around 8:40 a.m. and the return trip departed about 9:20 a.m., according to the airport. Another flight to Fresno is set for 8:45 p.m. The initial flight to Monterey is scheduled for 6:55 tonight.

On Tuesday, airport officials plan to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to
formally introduce the new flights – operated by Alaska's commuter affiliate, Horizon Air – at Terminal 1 at Lindbergh Field.

Alaska Airlines has been expanding its services in San Diego. Last
Thursday, it announced that five nonstop flights per week between San Diego and Orlando will start on Oct. 11.
