3-Day Walk Strolls Through La Jolla
A total of 3,600 walkers will walk a total of 60 miles in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day For the Cure walk.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day For the Cure walk started at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on Friday morning. A total of 3,600 walkers are participating in the three-day, 60-mile walk in an effort to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.
The group walked down Torrey Pines, past Scripps Institution of Oceanography, by the Children's Pool and through Bird Rock on Friday. The walkers will end the day in Mission Bay.
Net proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure fund innovative global breast cancer research and local community programs supporting education, screening and treatment, according to Susan G. Komen.
