Campagnolo Hosting Annual Toy Drive and Bicycle Fun Ride to Torrey Pines

This is Campagnolo's 7th year putting on the Toy Drive and Fun Ride from Carlsbad to La Jolla.

Written by Deanne Goodman

The Dec. 7 Campagnolo Toy Drive and Fun Ride will roll out of Campy’s headquarter offices in Carlsbad at 9 a.m. and head toward Torrey Pines State Reserve and back—an estimated 36-mile roundtrip, reported BicycleRetailer.com.

Riders should bring new unwrapped toys to be donated to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.

According to BicycleRetailer.com, last year, more than 100 cyclists left from Campy’s offices after downing hot coffee and a host of pastries.

“Whether you can ride with us or not, please stop by between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. and enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry. The ride starts at 9 a.m. from Campagnolo North America in Carlsbad and will return around noon. It’s an easy ride down the coast to Torrey Pines Country Club and back. There will be plenty of snacks to enjoy post-ride," said Campagnolo’s Tom Kattus.
