Katharine McPhee Shines at Salk Institute Fundraiser
Nearly $900,000 was raised at Salk's 18th annual fundraiser at the La Jolla-based research institute on Saturday.
Saturday night's concert under the stars at picturesque Salk Institute for Biological Studies raised nearly $900,000.
The annual event, which fundraises for research and community education programs, was headlined by singer Katharine McPhee and the San Diego Symphony with acclaimed guest conductor Maestro Thomas Wilkins.
