Philanthropist Denny Sanford Donates Undisclosed Sum to National University

Philanthropist and businessman T. Denny Sanford donated the funds for the creation of the Sanford Education Center.

T. Denny Sanford, who owns a home in La Jolla, donated an undisclosed amount of money to National University for the creation of the Sanford Education Center, The Daily Transcript reported Tuesday.

The newspaper said that the Sanford Education Center, which is scheduled to open this fall, will house the Cause Leadership Institute for nonprofit leaders and Sanford Education Programs. Its mission will be to "effect positive change through the development of nonprofit leaders and teachers through the offering of inspirational and impactful programs that meet 21st century global needs."

"Denny Sanford is one of the world's great philanthropists, and everyone affiliated with National University is thrilled by his decision to fund the Sanford Education Center," National University President and Chancellor Dr. Michael R. Cunningham told The Daily Transcript.
