Local editors Michelle Mowad and Melissa Phy organized a park cleanup for Patch's national Give 5 Day.
Armed with bags, gloves and lots of energy, they cleaned for over an hour as the sun set.
Lucky bystanders got Patch T-shirts and, of course, a pitch.
Summer intern Kyle Lundberg, local editor Deanne Goodman, and associate editorial director Chris Jennewein also helped.
