Scripps Cancer Center will host free public celebrations throughout the month of June for local cancer survivors, their families, friends and the community at large at each
of its four hospitals across San Diego County, in conjunction with the 25th annual National Cancer Survivors Day.
Those in La Jolla living with a history of cancer (and their guests) can head over to the Valerie Timken Amphitheater at Scripps Green Hospital and enjoy a brunch, insights from physicians on advances in cancer care, a healthy cooking demonstration and opportunities to connect with caregivers and fellow survivors.
