Just a few months ago we had a problem with congress acting slowly in regards to the then approaching "fiscal cliff." Now we haven another problem with congress acting slowly to take on the "sequester".
I believe that we sent those people to congress to pass laws, to govern, and to do what's necessary to protect us.
If they can't or won't do their jobs in a timely manner, let's recall them and elect some people who actually work for us; not just collect their checks and play politics.
By the way, where was congress when G.W. Bush started two wars and merely sent the bill to congress expecting them to pay the bill. Congress at that time didn't even question the bill, they just paid.
Now congressional Republicans are trying to enforce drastic budgetary cuts to fix the economy; and the Democrats are trying to protect the programs most of us consider vital, such as Medicare and Social Security.
There ought to be a way to compromise these positions, but congress is instead just playing politics.
I say: "do your jobs or get the hell out of the way so responsible people can act for our benefit...which is why they went to Washington in the first place."
