Let's discuss possible new coaches for the Chargers. The top candidates I recommend are:
Nick Saban, son of legendary pro and college coach, Lou Saban. Nick Saban is currently head coach at alabama, and lead them to a national championship last year and is in contention for another one this year. He has a great situation at alabama and frankly would be slightly nuts to leave there, but there's always a chance he will.
Chip Kelly, coach at Oregon, and has done wonderful things with a previoussly average team.
Brian Kelly, coach at Notre Dame. Has a previously average tem at number one in the country.
Bill Cowher; formerly head coach for Pittsburgh and won a /super Bowl ther as well as contending each year he was there. A proven winner.
Jon Gruden; coached at the Raiders and won a Super Bowl later with Tampa Bay. Another proven winner.
All the above named coaches are currently in great situations and may be reluctant to leave, but getting any of them to be our next Chargers coach would be wonderful. This would send a positive and dramatic message by the Spanos family, essentially stating that we are serious about winning and staying in San Diego.
