"The Spice Whisperer" Book Signing

Bibi Kasrai, the Founder and CEO of Harvard Cookin’ Girl will be at Warwick's on Tuesday, July 23rd at 7:30pm to discuss and sign her food memoir The Spice Whisperer.

In The Spice Whisperer, Kasrai’s literary debut, she has combined both to come up with a genre as unique as herself.

The daughter of famed Iranian Poet Siavosh Kasrai, Bibi Kasrai is also active in reviving her father’s works on the stage. After receiving a Harvard MBA, she turned her back on corporate America at the height of her career to found a children’s cooking school, which has since expanded into an all-ages operation in La Jolla, CA. Kasrai’s novel business plan helped her create a cult following and was soon bombarded with requests for her memoirs and recipes.

Beginning with memories of an Iranian childhood where her grandmother cooked while her parents supported her dreams of higher education and then transitioning to the darker days of the family’s escape to Afghanistan, her days as a student in Moscow, and the long road to finding her passion through cooking, each section reflects the tragedy, comedy, and recipes of her life.

The book is a tribute to her culture and the many cultures she has encountered living abroad, to cooking with love and bringing people of all backgrounds and beliefs together.
