The 5th Annual Swim with Mike UC San Diego will be held on May 3 at UC San Diego’s Canyonview Aquatics Center. The gates will open at 10 (following a 9 a.m. free pancake breakfast) to begin a day of fun and surprises.  

Like last year, the UCSD Men’s Water Polo Team will demonstrate new talents of inner tube water polo, kayak jousting and paddle board racing.

Recipients of our scholarships, representing UCSD, SDSU and CSUSM will compete in an exciting relay race.  

You can register online to participate and/or donate to the San Diego Event. (Click on the "participate" tab.)

Mariachi Bands will be playing, free parking and food and drink and the general store with SWM gear will be available.  Join us!

Parking for Canyonview Aquatic Center will be in UCSD Campus Lot 510.
• From Interstate 5, Exit Genesee Ave.
• Head east on Genesee
• Turn right (west) on Campus Point Drive
• Turn right on Voigt Drive.
• Park in lots 510, 701, or 403 or 506. Canyonview Pool is on the north side of Voigt Drive and west of lot 510.
• Parking permits required Monday – Friday only.


9 am - FREE Pancake Breakfast

Registration opens
General Store opens

10:15 a.m. - Adaptive Yoga warm-up with Alisha Welch (poolside – open to people of all abilities and experience levels)

10:30 a.m. - Begin pool games!
Innertube water polo
Pool lounge mat races
Kayak jousting
Paddleboard racing

11 a.m. - Scholarship Recipient Introduction and Remarks

11:30 a.m. - Scholarship Recipient swim relay

12 p.m. - Door prizes, tally of funds raised, and CELEBRATION!

1 p.m. - EVENT ENDS

Other activities include live entertainment, UCSD pep squad, UCSD water polo and basketball teams, and fun in the sun!
