Secret Garden Tour of La Jolla
For sixteen springs the La Jolla Historical Society has extended a rare invitation to the public to stroll behind the garden gates of some of La Jolla's loveliest. secluded gardens normally concealed from view by strategic growth of mature trees, vines or foliage.
This year's invitation is extended for the Tour, "The Changing Garden," on Saturday, May 17, 2014 fro, 10 am to 4 pm, with check-in at the Society's newly renovated Wisteria Cottage, 780 Prospect Street.
Local musicians, tabletop displays and La Jolla artists in the process of capturing each home and garden's beauty is unique to La Jolla's Secret Garden Tour.
Two versions of the Tour are being offered: the Self-Guided Tour at $40 for Society members; $50 for nonmembers. The Platinum Tour with an elegant brunch at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa followed by shuttle transportation and docent guides to each garden is $140 for Society members, $150 for nonmembers.
