San Diego Center for Children’s 8th Annual Walk for Kids 5K

 The San Diego
Center for Children will hold its 8th Annual Walk for Kids 5K
Festival on Saturday, November 2, 2013, on scenic Crown Point Shores in Mission
Bay, with registration beginning at 7 a.m., and the 5K walk/run beginning at 8
a.m. Founded in 1887, the San Diego Center for Children is San Diego’s oldest
accredited nonprofit helping children. The Center offers comprehensive
behavioral health and academic programs on seven campuses in the region. Help
improve behavioral health for San Diego’s children and teens by participating
in the Walk for Kids.



This family-friendly fundraising event is co-chaired by
Steve and Jacque Adams and the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s event is PAR
Electric.



Attendees can walk or run the 5K on Mission Bay and join
the post-walk Festival including food trucks, live music, craft beer tent, face
painting, bounce houses, the Center’s program expo, sponsor booths and more.

All walkers take home a free t-shirt and goody bag as a
thank you for helping reach the goal of $250,000 that support the programs and
services for the children and teens at the Center.



The “out & back” course begins in the middle of Crown
Point Shores Park, curving along Riviera shores and turning around at Dawes
Street in the heart of Pacific Beach. 
VIP Walkers (raising $250+) will enjoy exclusive registration, access to
VIP tent, prominent bibs and more, while Teams with 40+ Walkers or raising
$5,000+ will have a complimentary hospitality booth at the Festival
