SACRA/PROFANA Choral Music Ensemble

SACRA/PROFANA celebrates the modern generation, exploring an eclectic array of compositional styles. Hailed as “San Diego’s go-to choral ensemble” by the San Diego Union-Tribune (July 2012), SACRA/PROFANA is rapidly gaining a reputation as a dynamic new presence in American choral music. The “young and stylish choral group” (KPBS) has been widely celebrated in the local press for their boldness of vision. KPBS identified the group as “choral music for the iPod generation” (April 2012), and critic Kenneth Herman wrote: “I laud their bravery and musical conviction in giving life to such demanding and compelling works.” (September 2012) In January of 2013, the San Diego Daily Transcript interviewed Artistic Director Krishan Oberoi in a feature entitled “SACRA/PROFANA Unafraid To Step Out Of The Box”. Freewill donation. Free parking in underground garage accessed from Kline St. A reception in the Fellowship Hall follows the concert. www.ljpres.org/concert-series
