Five-time Tony Award and two-time Grammy Award winner Audra McDonald will be at the Balboa Theatre one night only performing the music of Stephen Sondheim, Frank Loesser, Kander & Ebb and more. Expect favorite show tunes, classic songs from movies, and original pieces written for the artist.
Classically trained at the Juilliard School, a year after graduating she won her first Tony Award for Best Performance from a Featured Actress in a Musical for Carousel. McDonald went on to win awards for her performances in Master Class, Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun and her first award in the leading actress category for The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.
