Two Powerful Women's Organizations to Join Together To Explore San Diego Philanthropy

San Diego’s community of women entrepreneurs is an extraordinary group. Not only do they run a diverse set of successful companies, they are also deeply committed to philanthropic giving for a strong, vibrant future. On November 27, 2012, the San Diego Women’s Foundation (SDWF) will join together with Hera Hub to help them tie the two together. The “Baking Philanthropy Into Your Business DNA” event will begin at 5:30 at Hera Hub Sorrento Valley in San Diego.

The fun and meaningful evening will include a panel discussion that explores:
• Why incorporating philanthropy into your business is beneficial
• How panelists have successfully integrated their passions into their businesses
• How to create and tell a story that reflects business and philanthropic goals

Panelists include Bethel Nathan, owner of Ceremonies by Bethel and SDWF board member; Christy White, owner of Christy White Associations and SDWF member; and Felena Hanson, founder of Hera Hub. The discussion will be moderated by Cindy Olmstead, owner of Olmstead Consulting and SDWF Founder.

"I have realized that there are so many ways to use my time, talent, and treasures to help the community around me, as well as to improve my business and what I want it to stand for,” said Bethel Nathan, owner of Ceremonies by Bethel and SDWF board member. “Sharing ideas with other women entrepreneurs not only inspires me, it also gives me ideas of avenues I never even thought about!"

“Hera Hub is honored to host this event,” said Felena Hanson, founder of Hera Hub. “This is a topic that is so important in today’s climate. Philanthropy should be part of a company’s business plan from the beginning stages, as building strong alliances is good for the community and the company brand.”
