San Diego Junior Theatre Presents "The Borrowers"

Ten San Diego Junior Theatre students are bringing to life the classic 1952 story of “The Borrowers,” February 8-17 at Roosevelt Middle School, 3366 Park Blvd. San Diego, CA 92103. Shows are scheduled for Fridays at 7 p.m. and weekends at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $12 to $15 and are available online at juniortheatre.com or by calling (619) 239-8355.

Written by the late British children’s writer Mary Norton, the story follows a family of tiny people who secretly live beneath the floorboards of an old manor on the English countryside. When they’re discovered by the actual residents of the manor, however, they flee to find a new home.

This San Diego Junior Theatre premiere is being directed by Michael Schwartz, M.F.A., who earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in theatre at the University of California, San Diego.
