La Jolla Playhouse's DNA New Work Series

Join La Jolla Playhouse for the DNA New Work Series, a six-week period of workshop productions and readings of new plays and musicals. The focus of this exciting series is to give established and emerging artists the opportunity to develop a script by providing rehearsal time, space and resources, culminating in a public reading or workshop production. The DNA New Work Series includes a staged reading of Chasing the Song, a new musical from the creators of Memphis; a workshop production of The Tall Girls and a workshop production of BrahmanIi, a One-Hijra Stand-Up Comedy Show. The series will also include six free 1-day readings, including Being Henrietta, Orange Julius and The Consultant, among others.
